Beyond transforming the former CISE, inactive for 25 years, into a technology hub, CyrusOne acts as the catalyst for a series of interventions in the surrounding areas and in the Golfo Agricolo Park.

The new facility rises on a disused site on Via Delle Regioni. Its redevelopment also addresses infrastructure, through targeted measures to reduce traffic and encourage active mobility. In the surrounding area, solar panels installed on schools and civic centers support the city’s energy supply, together with the reuse of the heat produced by the data center.
Attention to the territory is also reflected in the deliberate choice of the site where the regeneration process is activated, involving the local community through the cultural initiative “Segrate in volo”, which offered a hot-air balloon experience over the city.
The project includes the acquisition of Golfo Agricolo Park, an agricultural area donated to the city for community uses, as well as development a new cycling road and development of the Via Delle Regioni road, making CyrusOne a model for territorial regeneration.
