In bilico tra terra e mare

The aim is to assess the impact of risk in relation to the territory and to imagine scenarios and possible adaptation measures for the future of coastal areas.

To address the current climate crisis effectively, it is necessary to move beyond sector-based and fragmented approaches and adopt a vision able to grasp the interconnections between causes and effects, territories and policies. The project proposes a replicable methodological model, a bridge between scientific research, visual storytelling, and applied design: starting from an analysis of climate risk focused on sea level rise, with the addition of episodic phenomena, it assesses the impact of the identified risk by considering at the same time its physical, economic, social, environmental, and cultural dimensions.
The risk assessment focuses on the coast of Lazio, and in particular on the area of Sabaudia, where many of the critical issues shaping the condition of the Italian coastline clearly intersect.
