City Pop Viale Monza

The redevelopment and functional transformation of an existing building complex creates a new residential offer based on compact units and shared spaces.

The intervention converts an existing building into a residential structure with 261 housing units for young professionals, researchers, and mobile workers, organized according to a House as a Service model. The project redefines the original spaces to accommodate compact apartments and shared areas, supported by a significant energy efficiency upgrade.
Work on the façades recomposes a fragmented building complex: volumes and heights are harmonized through shifts, subtractions, and terracing, generating new views and collective outdoor surfaces.
The transition from a tertiary building to microliving residences makes City Pop a regeneration case where envelope, volumes, and open spaces are reimagined to create a smart and functional living environment.
