Hotel Moxy - Pompei

Designed as a practical and flexible base, the hotel combines relaxation, fitness, and socializing in informal, accessible, and recognizable spaces.

The project develops a neo-industrial pop aesthetic that offers a modern interpretation of Pompeii’s historical legacy. The frescoes of the ancient domus and the wall inscriptions serve as references for the graphics and identity of the common areas, reinterpreted through a street art lens. The heart of the project is the Fun&Play Lounge, a space designed to accommodate different moments of the day and flexible configurations of use. Here, the stepped seating evokes the Theatrum Magnum and the Theatrum Tectum, transforming an archaeological reference into a contemporary space for gathering, resting, and socializing. The whole creates an immediate, youthful experience deeply rooted in the site.
The Pompeian tradition is translated into common spaces designed to foster connection, relaxation, and informal use, without sacrificing a distinct and recognizable identity.
