On the Austrian border, the new food court and underground square activate a connective space for locals, cyclists, and travellers: a generous, light-filled environment deeply integrated into the landscape.

The project supports the transformation of Brenner Outlet into a contemporary, welcoming destination in dialogue with its territory.

OUTLET CENTER BRENNERO

The outlet dedicates a double-height space to dining and social interaction, opening directly onto the Alpine landscape through 500 sqm of glazed façades that amplify the relationship between inside and outside. Adjacent to the food court, the underground square offers an intimate, welcoming space defined by a large multifunctional stepped seating system.
This intervention creates a new level of connection, separated from road traffic, and opens the previously blind underground floor to the town, now flooded with natural light. The food court also benefits the other outlet brands by encouraging circulation throughout the entire complex, increasing visibility and extending visitors’ dwell time.
The project introduces a spatial alternative based on openness and transparency, redefining both the social impact on the local community and the visual perception of travellers crossing the Brenner Pass daily. A gesture of care toward the visitor experience, offering a welcoming place capable of generating new forms of encounter.
