Villa Pagliaia

The project revitalizes the existing structure without altering its identity, offering guests an authentic and refined atmosphere.

The intervention on the original structure is measured and involves the addition of guest rooms without affecting the existing elements. A partition wall separates the sleeping area from the bathrooms, and at the top, a glass insert with a metal mesh maintains the continuity of the ceilings decorated with frescoes, stucco, and terracotta. In the bathrooms, panels mounted on the walls conceal the plumbing and create a minimalist aesthetic that harmonizes with the historic setting.
Clay textures, metallic finishes, and glass surfaces interact with the ceiling decorations, enhancing their presence and reinterpreting the historical elements. The bed is defined by a wrought-iron structure that reimagines the canopy in a contemporary style.
