Di Ognuno 2024

Three experiential paths show how inclusive design can make check-in and check-out more accessible and less stressful, addressing different accessibility needs.

Inside Pavilion D at Hospitality 2024, DI OGNUNO explores arrival and departure moments in hotels starting from the reception, the guest’s first point of contact. The design aims to attract, engage, inform, and share, translating these actions into three immersive paths simulating check-in and check-out experiences.
Each path represents different visual, motor, auditory, and cognitive accessibility needs. Three micro-receptions propose concrete solutions, demonstrating how Universal Design integrates functionality, accessibility, and beauty. Light, sound, graphics, materials, and tactile signage transform accessibility needs into environmental qualities, reducing stress and disorientation. The installation works as a replicable prototype for hotels and extra-hospitality facilities.
DI OGNUNO 2024 makes abstract concepts tangible. The three micro-receptions allow visitors to see darkness, move space, and listen to silence, presenting accessibility as both a design and business lever.
