Ex Area del Gres

The masterplan for this area is originated from the redevelopment of historic buildings and the integration of new architecture, aiming to create urban hubs and to encourage the coexistence of different functions and uses.

The project includes the development of 150,000 sqm of residential space and 400,000 sqm of green areas, while preserving the industrial heritage of the place. An integrated system of public spaces, the enhancement of existing buildings, and the introduction of new volumes generate urban quality and foster relationships between interior and exterior spaces. The integration of a new tram line, cycle paths, and pedestrian connections make the place accessible and provided with sustainable mobility. The masterplan promotes environmental and energy sustainability and facilitating reconnection with the surrounding landscape system, in line with protocols shared with local authorities and institutions.
Industrial memory, reinterpreted through the refurbished architecture, defines the identity of the district.
