The new Rai Production Centre brings together the managerial and production functions of Italy’s leading cultural institution within an advanced, unified organism.

Balancing representation and technology, sustainability and architectural and urban quality, the project marks a new step in the transformation of FieramilanoCity.

The redevelopment project is conceived to bring together Rai’s various sites into a single, innovative and technologically advanced hub. The scheme consists of a seven-storey office bar facing Via Gattamelata and a multifunctional volume behind, dedicated to production activities. The architecture takes shape as a transparent, welcoming and permeable organism, able to connect cultural production with the urban realm, redefining a renewed and integrated frontage. Between the two volumes, a connecting element organises horizontal circulation and ensures functional continuity across the complex.
The office bar along Via Gattamelata features a structural system based on laminated timber, a strategic and effective choice that supports the path towards carbon neutrality.
